Imagine a drop-dead-chic vacation home nestled on a cliff overlooking the ocean… pretty nice, right? Now imagine that the home’s entire roof was a also swimming pool where you could take in that gorgeous 360-degree view! Not just a rooftop pool, but a roof that is a pool. Whoa: summer game-changer.

This epic concept home’s roof is inverted to form a basin, similar to a bathtub, which securely holds plenty of water for swimming (or just lounging on your favorite pool float). The pool, which can be accessed by an exterior ladder, has a special drainage system to control its water level.

One possible configuration of the Summer House interior.

Designed by the avant-garde collective Anti Reality, the 914-square-foot concept house—appropriately called “Summer House”—is shaped like a triangle and also has panoramic windows and an outdoor walkway that wraps around the entire structure, to make the most of the view and encourage true indoor/outdoor living. "One of the key design intents was to create a building that would be completely open to the surroundings, providing the possibility to observe and engage in direct contact with nature,” Anti Reality told the blog DesignBoom. The interior space can be configured in multiple ways, but really, who wants to spend time inside when you could be enjoying your rooftop pool? See you up there!
