You know how it goes: The second you get married, people start asking when you're going to start having kids. It's typically one of the most annoying things people ask when you tie the knot, but Property Brothers star Drew Scott seems to welcome the speculation.
A recent Instagram post got people buzzing, as the HGTV host shared a photo of himself posing in front of a brick ledge with a toddler, captioning it "Dad Practice." Roughly 36,000 likes (and climbing) later, the post has racked up dozens of comments. The majority assured Drew that he and wife Linda Phan would make excellent parents, though several questioned whether he was teasing a major announcement.
"Hint hint?!" one fan asked, innocently.
Others got more direct: "Baby announcement?"
"Is there something you want to tell us?" asked another.
The speculation only snowballs from there, as others pop in and ask whether the child is Drew's (nope), or if he's already a father (as far as anyone knows, no).
This may seem like a case of the internet becoming your nosy Aunt Tilda — which, to some degree it is (I mean, your Aunt does use the internet, so ...) — but the questions are warranted. This post comes just a few days after People's post-wedding interview with Drew, where he told the magazine about how psyched he and Linda are to have kids someday.
"I think Linda and I will be great parents, and we're excited to start that chapter of our lives," he said.
Add to that the fact that Drew and Linda discussed plans to turn the craft room of their new house into a nursery one day, and you can see why people are trying to read between the pixels. Though, let it be known that the couple's only expressed interest in having kids one day — not that they're having one right now. After all, they've got time, and whenever they decide to have kids, well, that's their decision. Until then, the rest of us will have to wait. Aunt Tilda included.
